Introduction

XTB a Forex and CFDs trading platform founded in 2002. The company has offices across Europe, Asia and Middle East. XTB boasts several rave reviews that have rated it amongst the top Forex and CFD trading platforms in Eastern Europe over the last five years. Its headquarters are located at Level 34, One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, E14 5AA, London, United Kingdom (company number 07227848).

XTB is a UK Financial Conduct Authority regulated broker under license number (FRN 522157). At XTB, client funds are held in segregated accounts, which mean that they are not mixed up with the broker’s own money. Clients are eligible for a compensation of up to EUR 50,000 per investor in the event of bankruptcy.

XTB assigns all its clients personal account managers while the support team is available 24/7 to help with any trading issues. Traders at XTB can access more than 1500 global markets covering Forex, Indices, CFDs-stocks, ETFs, and Commodities.

Account Types

XTB offers its traders an opportunity to choose the account type that suits their trading needs.  There is also a free demo account that they can use to practice trading before opening a real trading account. The range of live accounts includes a basic account, a standard account and a pro account. The smallest amount that traders can deposit is $250 and this can be done in either USD, GBP or EUR.

Demo: This account has been created to give traders an opportunity to try end test the XTB trading platform as well as practice some of their strategies before opening a real trading account. It comes loaded with $5,000 in virtual trading currency.

Basic: This is the smallest account type at XTB and it requires a minimum deposit of $250. The leverage for this account type has been set at a max of 1:200 while spread starts at fixed rate of 2 pips. Traders can trade CFDs a margin level of 30%. Other features on the account include personalized account managers but there is no automated trading.

Standard: This account type has been created for clients who prefer to use variable spreads. Spreads also start at 0.35 pips and leverage is set at a maximum of 1:200. However, there are added benefits such as automated trading and market orders, but stop loss levels are not guaranteed. CFDs are traded here at margin stop out level of 30% while the maximum order on Forex, Indices and Commodities are at 50, 15 and 15 respectively. Traders of this account type also enjoy more add-ons in terms of live educational events, promotions.

Pro: This is the most senior account type at XTB. The minimum spread starts at 0.28 while the maximum order placement limit has been set at 100 pips on Forex, Indices, and Commodities.

Trading Platforms

MT4: The MetaTrader 4 is the world’s most popular Forex trading platform. At XTB, this platform integrates mobile trading, trading signals and live market trading events/news thus making the ideal choice for Forex traders. It comes loaded with several trading tools and features including charting tools, custom indicators, Expert Advisers, and trading reports, among others.

XStation (Voted Best Trading Platform 2016): This is XTB’s proprietary platform designed to facilitate web trading. This platform has most of the trading tools and features available on the MT4 platform, but some things such as automated trading cannot be practiced on the WebTrader. The platform was voted the best trading platform 2016 according to Personal Online Wealth Awards. Some of the unique features for XTB’s XStation include the ability to track actual prices and rates on all tradable assets as well as analyzing charts as reflected by main currency pairs, commodities and shares. The XStation trading platform is also downloadable for your desktop and mobile devices.

Trading Assets (Instruments), Leverage, Spreads and Margins

XTB traders have access to several asset types, which include currency pairs, indices, commodities, equity CFDs and ETFs.

Currency pairs or forex, present traders the tightest spreads, which start at 0.28 pips while leverage maxes out at 1:200. All major currency pairs are available on the platform including GBP/USD, EUR/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF and EUR/GBP, among others.

As for the CFD list, there are 20 indices representing the most liquid markets from around the world. The spreads are also reasonably tight while leverage maxes out at 1:133. Traders can trade the UK100, DE30, US30, US100, and US500, among others.

The commodities section also offers a substantial list of tradable assets including energy, metals, and agricultural CFDs. The spreads start at 0.21pts while the leverage maxes out at 1:66. Traders can trade in Gold, silver, oil, OILWTI, and NATGAS, among others.

For those traders who prefer a more diverse range of markets, they can access that through the CFDs at XTB. This market attracts different types of costs compared to the way other assets are billed. There is direct market access commissions which starts at 0.08% and varies per asset. However there are several benefits for those who trade in this market as compared to traditional stock exchange. The trader has the access to low financing costs while at the same time utilizing financial leverage which is up to 1:10.
