About Admiral Markets

Admiral Markets Holding Group is a forex brokerage firm with headquarters located in Tallinn, Estonia. There is a branch office based in Australia which operates under the name Admiral Markets Pty Ltd. Admiral Markets is regulated by the Estonian Financial Services Authority (EFSA) with registry number 10932555 and also by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) with license number 410681.

Offers and Promotions

The ForexBall International Trading Contest is a demo account trading contest with prizes of up to $541,000 given out to winners.

Periodic account deposits and no-deposit bonuses are awarded. These are however not fixed and traders can negotiate this amount with their account officers.

Trading Platform Features

The platforms currently available on Admiral Markets are listed below:

MetaTrader 4: This exists as the standard desktop client for PC and Mac users, a multiterminal for trading multiple accounts, an iPad applicaton and an iPhone application. The Android Trader is the MT4 for Android devices.

Account Types and Information

The following account types can be operated on Admiral Markets:

a)    Admiral.Standard: This is the entry level account for beginners to try their hands on the market with a little money. Traders are allowed to own up to 10 Admiral Standard accounts. Thirty forex pairs, two spot metals (gold and silver) as well as 39 different CFD assets in various classes are available on this platform.

b)    Admiral.Pro: This is the ECN account type on Admiral Markets with a variety of features. In addition to being able to access the Autochartist plug-in for free, scalpers and day traders will find its one-click execution, no-requote 5-digit pricing model to be ideal for their trading needs. You can even trade on micro-lots using Admiral Pro, which is virtually unheard of in other ECN platforms.

c)     Admiral.MT4 (Build 625): This is the totally revamped MT4 platform which combines the features of MT4 with MT5 in one box.

d)   Admiral.CFD brings the power of CFD trading to the trader’s fingertips. This account type is only available to traders living in the European Union.

e) Admiral.Currensee: This is the social trading platform in which Currensee partners with Admiral Markets to bring a model where inexperienced traders can have the trades of experienced Trade Leaders copied to their platforms.

f) Admiral.Demo and Admiral.CFD Demo are the demo account types which enable traders to practice forex and CFD trading with virtual accounts.

g) Admiral Gold is an MT4 account in which the transaction and trading unit is gold.

Special Features

Admiral Markets has a number of special tools that its forex traders can enjoy:

a)    AutoGraf 4 is a trading application that gives added functionality to the MetaTrader 4 terminal. This software add-on allows traders to use a single-click to execute trade orders, close using the delete key; modify pending orders by mouse control, and shift between manual, automatic or semi-automatic mode when managing orders.

b)    Traders can also get access to the Autochartist technical analysis plug-in for the MT4 by maintaining a live account with Admiral Markets.

c)     The MT4 platform has been upgraded to Build 625, which incorporates the vast changes performed to the MT4 by Metaquotes Inc.

d)    A forex education library is also available on the website. 

Deposits and Withdrawals

Traders can deposit funds and withdraw profits using several means of transaction. These are as follows:

a)    Bank Wire: All bank wires for deposits and withdrawals are either made to, or sent from the bankers of Admiral Markets, SEB Bank. This bank has branches in London, New York and Shanghai.

b)    Credit/Debit Cards: Credit cards are only available for deposits. Cards issued by MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Diner’s Club and JCB are processed by Estonian card processor PKK,  which also provides a local credit card (Estcard) for such transactions.

c)     Skrill is also available for deposits and withdrawals.

d)    Envoy and Wirecard are online payment service companies based in the UK and Germany respectively, which can be used to make online transfers from the trader’s merchant accounts with these companies to the Admiral Markets account. They can only be used for deposits.

Minimum Deposit

The minimum deposit on Admiral Markets will depend on the account type operated by the trader. The Admiral Standard account requires a minimum of $10 or 10 Euros, while the Admiral Pro and Admiral MT4/MT5 account requires $1000 as minimum deposit. For those who want to trade with Admiral CFD accounts, $2000 is required as minimum deposit, while traders who open Admiral Currensee will have to settle for a minimum deposit of $1000.

Trade sizes start from 0.01 lot for all accounts. The minimum withdrawal amount allowed is $500 USD for bank wires and $100 other payment methods.
